This Disclaimer applies to your use of listney.com (the "Service"), operated by Listeny. It supplements our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge the limitations below.

1. Informational Use Only

Listeny is a reading and listening tool. It reads text and PDFs aloud; it does not summarize, verify, or interpret your content. Audio output is provided for convenience and accessibility — not as professional, medical, legal, financial, or academic advice.

2. Accuracy of Spoken Output

Text-to-speech may mispronounce names, abbreviations, numbers, formulas, or specialized terminology. PDF extraction can read columns, footnotes, or sidebars out of visual order when the file's internal structure does not match how it appears on the page. Scanned PDFs without a text layer cannot be read aloud because Listeny does not perform OCR.

Do not rely on Listeny's audio as a substitute for reading critical documents yourself when exact wording matters.

3. Standard vs AI Voice

In Standard mode, text and PDFs are processed entirely in your browser. Your files are not uploaded to Listeny servers.

If you choose AI Voice or download an MP3, only the text needed to synthesize audio is sent to our secure speech proxy. That text is used to generate audio and is not stored on Listeny servers.

4. Your Content and Rights

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use, listen to, or convert any text or PDF you process through the Service. Listeny does not review your content and is not responsible for copyright or licensing violations arising from your use.

5. Third-Party Services and Ads

The Service may include advertisements (such as Google AdSense) and links to third-party websites. We do not control third-party content, products, or practices. Any dealings with advertisers or external sites are solely between you and those parties.

6. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free playback, or that audio will meet your expectations for every document or use case.
